We’re in the home stretch, I can finally see an end to my pile of SX t-shirt adventure.
Today’s shirt is a front-runner for the best of the group because its simple, straightforward, fits well and its one from one of my social networks, Foursquare who had an awesome outside space during SXSW with a great foursquare court (see below).
The only criteria that fans needed to fulfil was to answer two simple questions. What do you like about Foursquare and what would you add/change to it.
My answers where as follows.
I like that 4sqr has become almost mainstream, at least in Montreal. It is definitely not at the level of use I’ve seen in places like SF, NYC or Austin I expect we’ll catch up soon.
The one feature I would add is one that Gowalla used to have. The ability to insert designated messages to friends who check into locations where you have left comments specifically for them. This was a feature that wasn’t used by most since they removed it in version 2.0. I wasn’t very happy about that because I had personally used it with great success.
Here we are, day 3 and I’m wearing what I consider the geekiest of the bunch. This T was given by Nokia to visitors who passed through their Nokia Labs tent at SXSW.
Unlike GM, Nokia didn’t make me do anything to actually get the shirt which was nice, on top of that I got to play with the Nokia Lumia 900 which is a beautiful phone and I hope it allows the Windows phone platform to shine and gain the momentum it deserves.
Here’s a picture of my hand, other than being a pretty decent looking hand its holding the Nokia Lumia 900!
Ok, I’m finally back after almost two weeks of travelling and my trip to geek mecca, South by Southwest Interactive which turned out to be exactly what everyone said it would be…overwhelming. I feel that its going to take a couple of days to digest all of it and hopefully I’ll build up the courage to post about it.
In the meantime I thought I’d share the cool branded swag that was all over SXSWi. At first I wasn’t really interested but I quickly caved and actively sought out as much as I could pack!
So today I’m wearing my first of many t-shirts that was being given. I’m starting in style with the Soundtracking shirt which is probably one of the best of the bunch simple and straightforward.
I plan on wearing all the t-shirts I got during SXSWi everyday until I run out. I’m thinking I’m good for almost two weeks!
The picture above was taken using the new Samsung Galaxy Note Android phone which I’m trying out for the next few week. I had originally written this post on the phone only to have the WordPress app crash and erase my draft.
